Overview
Is a specialized program designed to provide advanced training in the management of women’s health, with a focus on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the MMed Obstetrics and Gynaecology program, graduates will be equipped with advanced knowledge and clinical expertise essential for specialized obstetric and gynecological care. In alignment with the general MMed program goals, graduates will be able to:
Implement all legal and ethical requirements regarding the contemporary practice of urology.
Manage all aspects of patient care, including adverse outcomes, as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the principles of health service management and be capable of incorporating these into clinical practice.
Formulate research hypotheses, design experimental studies, and conduct research in a scientific and ethical manner.
Critically evaluate the role of molecular and cellular biology in the aetiology of urological diseases [translational medicine strand].
Appraise the role and potential importance of molecular techniques/approaches in the diagnosis and therapy of urological diseases [translational medicine strand].
Discuss the role of the doctor in the primary and secondary prevention of urological diseases at the population level.
Critically appraise research data and write research reports.
Evaluate the key concepts of global health and examine the major challenges affecting urological health systems and health outcomes globally [population health and health implementation strand].

All applicants holding foreign academic certificates must ensure that their qualifications are validated and equated by the appropriate regulatory bodies in Tanzania before submitting their admission applications. The required validations are as follows:

Academic Entry Requirements
Applicants must hold a relevant academic first degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB), UQF Level 8 or equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or a B grade average.
Please note: DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree holders are not eligible for MMed degree programmes.
