KCMC University marked the final day of induction with a comprehensive tour of its facilities and the KCMC Hospital on 25 September 2025 to explore key areas of academic, research, and healthcare excellence.. The tour was led by Prof. Ephata E. Kaaya, Vice Chancellor of KCMC University and Prof. Gileard Masenga, Executive Director of KCMC Hospital.

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., participants visited the E-Library, teaching laboratories, Dermatology and Emergency Departments, Malaria Research Site, the ongoing Block D construction, the Cancer Care Unit, and the Research Institute (KCRI & Biotech).
Throughout the tour, department representatives described contributions to student learning, staff development, and community impact. Discussions also addressed university maintenance, construction planning, the Malaria Project, and strategies for sustainable institutional growth.
During the visitation, Council members had the opportunity to explore various key areas under the ICT Department to learn how KCMC University has integrated technology in teaching and research. Mr. Gabriel Msuka, Head of the ICT Department, presented the progress made from the early stages to the current status, highlighting how ICT has helped transform education at the University. Among the resources visited were the Computer Lab, E-Library, and Conference Room.
