Diversity of Experiences

Dr. Mosha is a Senior Lecturer and Nutritionist at the School of Public Health, KCMC University. Her early research focused on the Double Burden of Malnutrition among Schoolchildren. While working with diverse communities, she observed a shift in dietary habits from African heritage diets to Westernized diets. This experience later informed the expansion of her research to examine the Impact of Diet on Inflammatory and Metabolic Responses. She has led and contributed to numerous studies addressing global health challenges and has co-authored publications in child nutrition, diet-related non-communicable diseases, and mental health.

Dr. Mosha has served as Principal Investigator on several projects funded by the Wellcome Trust, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She is also a Research Scientist and Nutritionist in the Nutrition and Immunology Working Group within the KCMC–RadboudUMC collaboration. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator of the project titled Dietary Transitions and the Loss of Traditional Foods. As she continues to consolidate her scholarly niche, Dr. Mosha is currently an AREF and REACCT-CAN (Wellcome Trust) Postdoctoral Fellow, through which she is advancing toward becoming an independent and internationally recognized researcher in Oncology and Clinical Nutrition.
