Consultation Meeting on Collaborative Training in Family Medicine

A consultation meeting was held bringing together representatives from the Christian Academy of African Physicians (CAAP), led by Dr. Wechuli Geoffery, CEO of CAAP, and KCMC University, represented by Prof. Levina Msuya, Acting Vice Chancellor. The purpose of the meeting was to explore potential areas of collaboration in training, with a particular focus on Family Medicine.

During the meeting, both institutions presented their current academic programmes and discussed their expectations regarding the proposed collaboration. The discussions provided valuable insights into the strengths and areas for improvement within each institution, as well as practical strategies for initiating the programme.

The engagement concluded with a collective agreement for members to further brainstorm actionable approaches to unite institutions under CAAP while ensuring efficient utilization of the limited available resources.
